Entrepreneurship @ Lamar University
IES was formally dedicated April 30th, 2001 as a center with the following mission statement:
To stimulate economic development and diversification in Southeast Texas by addressing the needs of current entrepreneurs and small businesses, while simultaneously enhancing the education of tomorrow's entrepreneurs. As a state institution dedicated to education and public service, Lamar is uniquely positioned to provide the synergy to accomplish this two-part mission.
Whether you're just starting out, experiencing your first growing pains, or wanting to take your business to the next level, you can access vital business information, education and assistance through the Lamar University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). SBDC consultants help clients develop strategies, attract customers, increase sales, improve productivity and profitability.
